Victoria Station. We were on our way to Montreux, Switzerland. 30 years ago, this month. Strange to think, but how many of the people in this picture are still alive? Nikon F2 : Kodachrome

From my very first trip abroad. Forty years ago! I was 22, with my first real camera. I remember this trip very deeply, down to the sounds and smells, new, different, strange and bewildering. Nikkormat :: Anscochrome

King Tut was at the BM. I don't remember going in. The lines were probably too long. And, the Museum Tavern is across the street. Nikon F2 : Ektachrome

Front door at Better Books, the alternative bookstore for new writing and poetry in 1960's London. By 1970, the store was owned by publisher John Calder. The photo in the poster on the top is of the English sound poet Bob Cobbing, who was the store manager. On the bottom poster is the American, Jerome Rothenberg. Nikon F2 : Ektachrome
